A gem of the north, Idaho’s Coeur d’Alene in winter is the place to visit for amazing wildlife viewing. Derek Butler was hiking around Higgens Point, watching eagles fly when he spotted a juvenile eagle on a branch. He grabbed his camera to take a shot when a larger eagle swooped in and claimed the branch! He got a few shots on his camera — including this one — before this majestic eagle flew off again!
