First established in 1829 by Mexican merchants establishing a trade route to Los Angeles, Las Vegas would soon become the lavish neon-lit world-renowned adult playground known as “Sin City”.

Greetings
Our humble beginnings. This 1946 photo shows the iconic Flamingo Hotel under construction in the Vegas desert. Who could have imagined the luxurious desert paradise that Las Vegas would become.
When the Sky Room at Desert Inn opened it’s doors in 1950, this glass encased lounge was the tallest building on the strip… at three stories high! The tallest building in Las Vegas is not The Stratosphere at a modest 112 stories.
Life Magazine went backstage in 1952 to catch this stunning photograph of Vegas Showgirl, Dale Strong.
