Behind the decor is French Interior Design duo Maison Hand, who usually operate an interior shop elsewhere in Lyon, where they sell specially selected furniture, textiles and home accessories from around the world.

They have created balance is this opulent apartment by combining sleek lines and sumptuous materials in an elegant interior that exudes casual luxury.

The long dining table works most days as a console table , where elegant arrangements create a lot of atmosphere.  The chairs are Hans J. Wegner ‘ Y’ chairs, while the elegant glass lamp in the corner was designed by Sebastian Herkner .

Over a beautiful gift that combines dark wood with light marble, hangs a two-armed serge Mouille lamp designed in the 1950s. It is as sculptural as art and ceramics in contemporary African style on the sideboard .

A functional yet chic living space is the design emphasis throughout this glamorous home.

Gorgeous, chalk white walls with molding and intricate scrolling details add that extra luxe appeal to the apartment.

This refined dining- kitchen area features dark wood with both dark and light marble.

The golden faucet that adds warmth and elegance.

In a small TV room both walls and ceilings are painted dark gray.

Fresh flowers in a large glass vase add color and spontaneit , while the repetition of Serge Mouilles lamp design creates continuity.

The bedroom is large and bright and has access to a huge terrace.

The bed is made with rich fabrics that give soft counterpoint to the white-painted , almost graphic panels .

Notice how the small bedside table mimes the cross pattern of the old parquet floor.

Ooh, lala LOVELY!
