I’m excited to share with you today a beautiful and elegant wedding gown collection that was inspired by the “Ballet Beautiful” posts on this blog – how wonderful!
Sydney, Australia based designer “LISA GOWING” has spent her career at the forefront of bridal fashion.
Her collection of exquisite high fashion designs in layered silks and exclusive French and Italian laces immediately changed the face of bridal design in Australia. Trained in the intricacies of Couture dressmaking from a retiring industry expert, Lisa uses only the original Couture techniques mainly forgotten in today’s fashion.
Today I will share with you her latest collection:
“BALLET BEAUTIFUL”
Lisa: “When creating my BALLET BEAUTIFUL collection I was inspired by the ballet, the tutus, the tulle and and the romance of dance.
This collection features gowns with layered tulle skirts, some are soft and a-line, others have many layers of tulle and are fuller, presenting more of a Princess silhouette.

Every LISA GOWING collection includes my signature slim-line lace sheaths; European lace over silk gowns and BALLET BEAUTIFUL has some gorgeous styles in silk faille with seed bead lace, corded lace and Chantilly lace. We only work with European laces with hand appliquéd detailing and exquisite jewels over silk.

“Ines” with Circular veil and headpiece
Lisa: “I have included three tulle overskirts that can be worn over these slim lace gowns to give a bride two different looks for her day. Many of our brides are choosing to wear the overskirt for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception to reveal the slim lace gown beneath.
I have designed a full selection of LISA GOWING accessories to complete the bridal ensemble including veils in all the same tulles to match every gown.”

Even though these gowns are named ready-to-wear, they are individually made and hand finished and constructed as couture gowns, using couture techniques by dressmakers who I have trained personally. Prices start at $2790.
